Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Re-Paired app and website. Using Re-Paired means you agree to them.
Last updated September 2, 2026
The short version
- Re-Paired connects you with independent repair shops. We are not a repair shop and we do not perform repairs.
- Quotes come from shops, not from us. The repair agreement is between you and the shop.
- We do not handle payments. You pay your shop directly.
- Re-Paired is currently a Bay Area pilot. Things will change, and some of them will break.
What Re-Paired is
Re-Paired is an introduction service. You describe a repair once; we route that request to nearby shops that can do the work; they send back quotes in a consistent format so you can compare them. That is the whole of what we do.
We are not a party to the repair. We do not perform, supervise, warrant, or guarantee any repair work. We do not set prices. A quote is a shop's offer, and any estimate can change once a mechanic sees the vehicle.
Pilot status
Re-Paired is in a limited pilot in the San Francisco Bay Area, distributed through Apple TestFlight. Features may change or be withdrawn, data may be reset, and availability is not guaranteed. Please do not rely on Re-Paired as your only record of a repair.
Your account
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. Keep your account details accurate and your sign-in method secure — you are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.
You can delete your account at any time from inside the app. We may suspend or close an account that abuses the service, misrepresents a vehicle or a repair, or puts other users at risk.
Using the service
You agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent requests, vehicle details, or reviews.
- Use Re-Paired to harass, threaten, or defraud a shop or another user.
- Scrape, resell, or systematically extract shop or quote data.
- Interfere with the service, probe its security, or attempt to bypass access controls.
- Upload content you do not have the right to share, or that is unlawful.
Quotes, bookings and payment
When you accept a quote, you are entering an agreement with that shop — not with Re-Paired. Pricing, scheduling, parts, warranty, and any dispute about the work are between you and the shop. We will help where we can, but we are not the counterparty.
Re-Paired does not process payments and takes no cut from drivers. Using Re-Paired to get quotes and compare shops is free.
Reviews
Reviews on Re-Paired are tied to a completed, paid job — one review per job, and they are moderated before they count. Write honestly about your own experience. We may remove a review that is fabricated, defamatory, off-topic, or submitted to manipulate a shop's standing. We do not remove a review simply because a shop dislikes it.
Your content
Photos, descriptions and messages you submit remain yours. You give us permission to store and display them where the product needs to — showing your photos to the shops you send a request to, and keeping a record of your conversation. We do not use your content for advertising.
Disclaimers
Re-Paired is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any shop will quote your request.
Shops are independent businesses. We vet them before they join the network and track performance afterward, but we do not guarantee the quality, timeliness, or safety of any repair.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Re-Paired is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising out of your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100), which reflects that the service is free to drivers.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in the State of California, and you and Re-Paired each consent to that jurisdiction.
Before filing anything, please email us — most problems are faster to fix directly.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will update the date above and notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Re-Paired after that means you accept the updated terms.
